I'm not sure by what you mean 'yet'. SM has always been working with avi files on the P900 and P910. At least the ones that I work with. I don't think I've run across an avi file that I haven't been able to play on through SM. On the other hand, some of those same avi files have issues playing on some set-top players I've tried them on. That's because those manufacturers recognized some codec compatibility issues.

I've gathered all my codecs from LCG. I'm not sure why you're having issues to be hones to with you. Either way, I've never had any codec issues with any files at all. You might want to look at the source as well. Players usually have issues playing files that have incorrect audio rates. Do you have a sample of the file you are trying to play? I can test it out for you and give you a manner in which you can upload it to me.

@all,
SmartMovie plays AVI perfectly on my P900 and I have encoded many videos for SmartMovie for months.
If you just take any AVI files and transfer them to your P900 to be played, they wont play. FYI, SmartMovie on P900
DOES NOT play regular AVI files because of some reasons :-
i- The AVI file is encoded in different codec than the one included in SmartMovie.(XViD, DiVX 5 ++, 3iVX)
ii- The dimension of the AVI is too large to be displayed on the P900 screen.
and some more problems.
In order to play AVI files on SmartMovie player, you need to convert files (MPEG, MPG, AVI, WMV etc) to the AVI format using the codec bundled. You can convert files using the SmartMovie PC converter which is included in the program when you purchased the software.
You can also use VirtualDub to convert these files to compatible SmartMovie format.
For those looking for some videos for their P900, you are welcomed to visit this topic :
Pxxx Videos, Trailers etc
Hence, please make sure you encode the file first using the SmartMovie PC converter before playing it on P900.
Rgds
