hi,
i just got my p910 today!
had quite a lot of fun with it allready,,
just trying to convert a 700mb avi file into mp4
but the megable programme keeps crashing,
i managed to get it to do a 400mb file,
is this because i havent bought the full version andam only using the free trial ?
if not what other app could i try ?
many thanks

Hmm.. Some programs do act funny when they don't like the codecs that some files were encoded with. I think the megable is crap...
I managed to get some nice 3GP/MP4 files with a proprietary software.. I'll probably post some downloadable samples on my 'non-running' site.. Now I think about it, I also need to update the laundry list too..

As for me I hate those guys with 288x186 resolution. I have found the best optimal settings for my P910i 192x144 170kb/s - video; 24kb/s - audio, mono 22000 Hz; 15 frames per second. Especially good for movies.

Free and close to standard on linux (win32 version posted). What settings? I've tried everything. What can the built in player play?

mpegable is no good for me.
It never ever encodes the whole file for some reason?
It always cuts out the end of the file! WHY?
Ive been tinkering around with a few different programs and have tried many settings. I have found that PVauthor gives the best results.
These pre-defined settings in PVauthor give the best results for playback on Px00 devices:
Load profile> Device specific> P800 30fps NTSC source > P800 LP Stereo Smooth. change max framerate to 12.50 and your all set to encode.
For playback on SonyEricsson, nokia, samsung, Nec and other video phones use these universal setting: Device specific> 7650 30fps NTSC source > 7650 LP Smooth.
Anyone agree that these settings give the best results.
What other software is good for encoding?
