Error msg KERN-EXEC Reason number 3 (P800/P900 series)
A part of the incoming email message is in HTML. The P900 email client does not support HTML.
But is generally able to display the text within the message excluding formatting.
In this case it could be an issue in the HTML or maybe the fact that the message is multipart with some of the mail in plain text and some in HTML.

I was informed by the Sony Ericsson service centre that the code means "corrupted files". Its not related to memory problems or any programs in specific, I had that problem with trying to change my ringtone. Its standard when there are files that are corrupted.
If you backup, master reset and do a restore, then yes you will still get back the corrupted files, the only thing you can do right now in my mind, is restore from a previous backup which does not contain the corrupted files (not too bad if you do constant backups) or start from fresh which is a good idea as well to get rid of all unwanted files especially if you're a heavy user with many 3rd party apllications.

I've read that on SE-support but i don't think that this is my problem tho i can have the problem with e-mails with plain text.

I've had this problem for a long time, almost since the phone was new after i installed my apps so i dont have a backup that i think is ok...
I probobly be better to start from fresh.

I've had that problem too, as mentioned above it is when a message is partly in html, partly in plain text.
It seems to be another chronic (that is unresolvable) SE problem
The only way I've found to resolve it is to use OneMail.ToGo. This strips out all html and you won't have that problem again (the service costs $50, but if you use email a lot, it's worth it).
Another option is to use Profimail, which doesnt use the inbuilt messaging app - but IMHO, it needs to be developed a bit more to make it useable.

I think your right but think it's strange that not more P9xx-users are getting this problem, why just me?
Can you explain what onemail togo and Profimail is?

I'd been using my P800 for about 6 months, then this appeared, as if from nowhere. I even formatted everything & built the phone up from scratch again, but I guess there must be some interaction with other installed software. But the comment about html/non-html is from SE's knowldge base.
It's weird, since before that moment I could receive emails from anyone, and then the app would crash due to these "bad" emails. in fact, if you look at the file called index.dat in the mail folder (you'll need to do it from a backup, since it's always in use, you'll probably see headers from these bad emails.
Anyway, after struggling with this for a few months, I heard about onemail.togo
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/app[....]ications.php?fldAuto=888&faq=2
Basically your phone connects to their server, which then connects to your mailserver. Their server strips out the html content, and it gives other services as well. It uses the native messaging app on your phone.
ProfiMail is quite new
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/app[....]ications.php?fldAuto=927&faq=2
It's a totally separate application. It does just about everything you'd want from a mail application, but it does have a rather Series60 look to it
You can try both before you buy, so see which one suits you best

This is what the manuals say:
KERN-EXEC 3
This panic is raised when an unhandled exception occurs. Exceptions have many causes, but the most common are access violations caused, for example, by dreferencing NULL. Among other possible causes are: general protection faults, executing an invalid instruction, alignment checks, etc.
Not very helpfull...
