Incoming = pop3, outgoing = smtp. The addresses must be ip. (also dont forget to activate pop3 from gmail.google.com). And also watch out that gmail uses other port for smtp instead of default one. For addresses read gmail pop3 help (somewhere in settings i think or 'new features'?) once u have logged in via web

Incoming server: pop.gmail.com, port: 995. Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com, port: 465 or 587. Need an internet connection for this, and not a wap one (since the last one has almost all ports blocked)

what do you mean addresses have to be IPs?
how do i get the IPs
i have everything nin my phone exactly as that page u sent me shows (i found it earlier) and i saved my pop3 settings on gmail and it seems to sit on "finding server" forever
also, do i set connect using to roam, express or home?

@bobafet u must use the 'internet' apn and not the 'wap' apn. @stryder go to msdos promt (start-accesories) and write 'ping addres' (without ' ') and press enter (where 'addres' must be replaced with the gmail addresses, eg 'ping pop.gmail.com'). That's the ip, the number with *.*.*.* .. you have to write those numers (ip) instead the addres with words..

@bobafet try to use the account for wap with your email client. If it doesnt work ask your operator for internet settings. If a 'finding server' message stay for a long time, u probable use a wap-only settings
