I did last week and I have to say I got a cracking deal. I got an S700 on Vodafone Anytime 200 for free with £50 cashback after 6 months.
Unfortunately the phone was very heavily branded and, as it turned out, faulty. Took it back and got the same deal with a Motorola V3.
If you don't mind a branded phone (on voda anyway) then go for it. I nearly fainted when she said it was free.

Well, I just went to my local Phones4U and got the S700i for free, on O2 200 (£30 a month). They sadly never threw in the Bluetooth Headset, as I heard the manager in the background grumbling that they were selling it to me at a loss already, but who cares! I got a S700i for free!!!
How did you manage to get them to give it to you? I just spoke to my local phones4u and they said its better if you order online as they cant do it instore.... first he mentioned that its a web exclusive then he said they wouldnt be able to match it anyway, i asked if the manager would do it, he said you could try another store to see if they'll do it.... ?!?

Mine was also in store, two stores to be precise, one for the original purchase and one for the exchange. I noticed in the second one that there were little posters up saying that every phone was free or something.
This was last Thurs and last Sat so it might be worth trying......

@Gooner Girl:
I would look for that deal too, but would prefer to avoid vodafone
Did you get it directly from a vodafone store or through phones4u? Did they also offer the p910i for free on that tariff? And was this in Guildford Surrey, or South London Surrey (as in Thornton Heath - Croydon...)?
I'd prefer to get the p910i, but phones4u are all out of stock (every store), though i could still go for the s700i

May I call you King?
It was in the Phones4U shop in Epsom and then in Kingston. As far as I could make out, the deal applied to all networks but I couldn't swear on that because I was only after Vodafone.

King is fine if you prefer, though Gooner Girl is a bit hard to remember (man u fan

), can i call you by any other name...?
I might take a trip to the Kingston store then - i could always meet up with some friends from the uni then get the phone. I think it was probably just for vodafone, as you said something about on the anytime 200 tariff....
Really want to get the p910 though (but its kinda of big).... oh damn, i'm not sure which phone to get to complement my V3, which would you go for?

I just went in, saw that the cheapest they were offering the S700i instore was £99.95, and I then asked why it wasn't for free if that's what they were offering on the website (not mentioning anything at all about it saying "Web Exclusive" or the free headset). He then went and said he would speak to the manager to see if they could do the same deal, and the manager then phoned somebody else to see also, and then he just asked me to take a seat and they could do the deal for me! I never asked about the headset as I thought i'd be pushing my luck, probably just get one after christmas anyway.
