I agree on the quality of the lens and the 1.3 Mp capability, yet, as 3GP ius nothing but a codec, it is the element to be considered, isn't it ? Same thing in digital cameras: expensive Canon units are still stuck to the 15 fps rate whereas some way cheaper Sony models manage 30 fps because they use MPEG and Canon uses motion JPEG...
I think that it i the same for S700: its lens captures light way better but video is still pixellised and that perfect...

One has to remember that the S700 isn't a camcorder, it merely has video capture as an extra.
