What if you've got a lot to say, and no credit for 2 messages? Im not a fan of sms abbreviations, i always try to use the full word, but sometimes its necessary.

Sometimes necessary and useful. But if people haven´t learned the normal use of language yet (spelling) and they continue to use this even when not necessary - well, it´s going to be a pretty mess - and annoying.

Agreed. It makes you look lazy, the only exception would be for peope visiting from their mobiles.

i always type the full words when i send a sms, but thats only when i'm using the 6820 otherwise i can't even be bothered to sms just call em up.

Perhaps meths might agree that people usually drone on far too much, often making more than one text unnecessary.
