I would go to your service providers site and try and flash with it's firware even if it means it will still be branded. It may sort out whatevers happening....at least that would be the first thing I'd try.

I have had a look around the o2 site and can't find any links ? Maybe as a customer you can log in or register which may take you to the support download section ?

i dont think it is possible to get downloads from o2's web site, does anybody have a clean r2l i can try?? personally i think the problem is in the cable as it keeps giving me connection errors etc, am going to go to the o2 shop where i brought it from tomorro and tell them it went all white and didnt turn on again.

Your using a cable is that ok to do the update with ? Don't know about the K500 but when I updated my K700 firmware I had to use my mates p900 sync station.

yea it is the t28 service cable. i am using total multi server, i found out i made the mistake of trying to flash both the firmware and language at the same time. just need to know will the battery still charge even when the phone is acting dead.

I would've thought so, try it, you haven't anything to lose by charging, to be honest although they state that you should have a full battery when you do upgrade (and I wouldn't recomend not taking their advice) i didn't use a lot during the update and reckon it would've completed the update with a half full charged battery.
If the harms already done and having a go at the update again doesn't work then you haven't lost anything.
If it doesn't work your gunna have to speak to your service provider.

hey thanks for the help guys, i have sent the phone back to o2 for them to fix it, as it is only 2 months old so still plenty or warentee left, i will be selling my unlock cable with 1 credit and a normal data cable soon let me know if anybody is intrested and also if you are make me an offer.
