> Why Why cant I SYNC My P910i
Bookmark topic
I'm still having problems syncing P910i with PC
I have disable the Firewall, Anti Virus, and any other software I think that can stop it from syncing.
What the Hell do I do, to get this thing to work.
I've been trying to do this for 4 days, I have called SE 3 times, abouth this, every time I call them they say it the Firewall, Anti Virus software.
Why the hell has SE not sorted this problem out. The SE Team tell me that all the calls they get is about the same problem.
Can anyone outthere HELP.

Long shot here but have you tried uninstalling Nortons internet security (their firewall) to make sure that its not causing a problem? If it is then at least you'll know what you need to get working with your setup.
If not then you can at least tell

that you uninstalled the firewall and the problem remains.

Thanks
But can be the only thing stoping the sync.
No other hardware that you install on your PC does this.
This is silly., if I uninstall the Firewall, what else will I have to uninstall, just to get the P910i to sync

@fanosc
you didnt need to uninstall norton becuase I have it and have no probs with my p900. when placing the p910 on the syncstation then look at your system tray and there should be an icon with a double-ended balck arrow, which is split by two vertical lines. If you double click on that then you will see several check boxes. If you want to connect via the syncstation check the box next to cable(but before doing this make sure everything else is unchecked) then after a while it should start connecting and once connected it will say connected and a small p900/p910 icon will appear in the system tray(the icons near the clock on the bottom right of the screen). Then you should just sync once connected but make sure you know what you are doing becuase an incorrect sync could cause you to lose your data.
Also same thing for bluetooth except instead of checking the box next to cable you have to check the box of the com port for which your device is associated with for bluetooth.
hope this helps and if not tell me what goes wrong and I will try to help further.

sorry just a bit of an error in my previous post. make sure you check the box and etc before placing the p910 on the syncstation. also if nothing happens when you check the cable box then try checking the USB box. If you don't have cable or USB check boxes then try each of the COM ports individually. I know its a bit long but at the end of the day it might end up working

Thanks for all your info
I have checked that all the connected boxes are checked
When I plug the P910i into the syncstation the little icon that looks like a pulse, that does change, and when I double click it the main com port selection list appears and says that com port 21 is connected (This is the port it has asigned to).
No other Icons appear and nothing happens.
When I double click on the P910I ICON on my desktop, the windows opens an icon saying not connected.

I am a mac user with a P910i. I had no trouble isyncing P800, T68i and the T610, but now the P910i is refusing to work. Doesn anyone have any solutions? I know I could call SE support, but they'll just say iSync is Apple's problem, not theirs. This is really frutrating me, as without iSync, why the hell would I need a PDA?!

This is sounding very much like a driver conflict of some kind. What other USB devices do you have installed on your PC? Does Device manager show any problems with your USB root hubs or host controllers? Do you have a PCI USB card installed?
