The answer to your query may be found in a thread entitled "Sony Ericsson are Stealing Memory" or a title similar to that, I can't remember exact wording.

The originator of the post, I think was a guy called BetaTester.

Hi
I've found the thread. Sorry for the delay. You know christmas...
The thread is about formating a MS (or a disk) with a smaller cluster size to increase free space.
This is nothing new. It's a balance between performance and space.

Since almost no one usualy re-formats it's MemoryStick with a smaller cluster size, I was searching for the default MS cluster size for Sony/SanDisk MemorySitcks.

I believe the I've found values are correct, but I will let the user change them in the program.
