Well there is another trick (a lame one) you can make a call and then snap a pick. Seems this is what some s700 users did not sure if it worked. Will you pls try?

FINALLY! I got my camera shutter sound turn off by using Davinci Server using the Finalization function. So now I have the latest R3F008 firmware and shutter sound off
Davinci is so much more stable than TOTAL Multiserver whereby the Multiserver crash 3 times while flashing my gf S700i
and I got so panick that she is gonna kill me. Anyway, the Multiserver version 1.46 is much more stable than the earlier version and it might be my OS problem instead
Most importantly for those guys who still cannot get the shutter sound turn off, you can use Davinci Server and just finalised it without even flashing the phone at all

well, ive done the upgrading through service center
and i can turn off the sound:D
anyway, i took the phone to them again
to see whats the problem

bugs/problems encountered with my S700i:
1. it crashed three times already erasing all my phone contacts.
2. some names in my phonebook do not appear whenever someone
they call or send a sms.
3. the phone only recognizes the mobile number in the phonebook.
i have not tried any upgrade or whatsoever. sony ericsson here in manila does not have the new software.

What firmware has your phone got? Ive still got R3B and havent got the same problems as you.

same as you. i also asked skrue(esato member) who never upgraded his firmware but, i think was the unlucky one. i have thoughts of selling it already. i am losing hope.
