So was there ever a version called r2a(i.e. different from r2aa)? So if you say r2aa is a later version than r2l n everybody knows it sucks does that mean se messed up with firmware upgrade. When i logged onto esato wap site with r2aa version they told me to update to r2l...doesnt that mean r2l is a later version? Also latest version at online update is r2l, wat happened to r2aa then? Phew, lots of questions

R2a was the first ever version. That was horrible. There was numerous versions till r2l. Then came r2aa with phone book search function. It was called back by SE. Latest is r2ae

Called back?? Why the hell do new k7s come installed with r2aa then? Do se wanna commit suicide coz most of the people(who dont go to forums n stuff n arent really technical) would just chuck the phone thinkin its an unstable phone n also slow at times?

If you take it service centre, they will do an update for you free.

Yeah i know that but you'll agree when i say that se is almost non existent in india. In such conditions when someone buys an expensive k7 to find it unstable i dont think that brings forward a very good impression of se. Same imo would be true in all other countries.

Yup, here almost everybody makes sure they get a warrantied set. They will ring up service centres and dealers. Ppl in india buy their products carefully. (No wonder there are so many nokias here.)

R2AE for sure is more stable than R2L. It's worth to update. FYI, those who purchased the first batch of K700i which claims that the camera shutter sound can be mute if phone in mute mode. there is no problem that R2AE will keep that options available for them too
