Sending MMS's to other countries require an Operator's alliance with the recieving party's operator. eg. Sending MMS to Orange in the UK, or Hutchinson '3' in Au, via airtel, orange and hutch in India works, But sending to Sprint or Cingular, the MMS returns saying 'Bad Recipient or something. Also, if you're sending to any country, and your operator has an alliance with one of the many operators in that country, but that one operator has an alliance with all the rest, your MMS will still reach.

@whiz are you on airtel coz they carge 5bucks per mms?
@debu i dont think either hutch or airtel allow users to send/receive mms outside their network coz i cant even send/receive mms to airtel delhi users from hutch delhi. Havent called up hutch cc for this yet but when i had called up airtel cc i was told i can send mms only to airtel users all over india. However earlier on airtel i could send an email via mms but even that doesnt seem to be possible on hutch...i have sent many emails to my yahoo account but they never reach. To have a system of international mms all networks worldwide have to act at the same time but they dont seem to be bothered.
