Any "flash" type LED device sucks up power, however i have not tested it properly.
I am sure though that short useage of the torch/flash would not do major drainage of the battery.

it was killed when testing an SE flashing service, all in a good cause.
Basically in the V800 firmware there is an EROM addon that is erased when the phone enters a special recovery and then leaves a certificate behind. Well this process got all screwed up and now it needs an EROM recovery file to revive it. Am waiting for one with my CID to be released on EMMA II.
