I have the same problem, when connected to my desktop i can use passthru and get on MSN but using GPRS it wont connect. Thats vodafone UK.

i had this problem as well, it turns out that vodafone's content control system is blocking the port required for MSN. You can turn off content control by registering on vodafones content control site
