Your right mate, and the P910i is even better, but for a small everyday phone, the 6230 is a treat!

If you really need a phone/PDA then the P900/P910i would be the wise choice, other wise the Nokia 6230 is simply brilliant!

Although if the the K700i simply had a memory card slot then that would be perfect (better then the 6230 probably), it does have 40MB of memory built in but thats not enough for MP3 capabilities.

IMHO: the Nokia 6xxx series are not on the cutting edge of fashion, technology or innovation.
A mobile phone has become an extension of one's personality, it should make a subtle statement about who you are...

I think the V800 should get fone of the year, but then again i am biased

Heck! A series 40 phone (i think) as a best seller. No way. Else to it will get disqualified for cheap plastic and poor screen. This message was posted from a K500

"Best Phone of year 2004 ?" definitely not the 6230. Maybe the k700 but the best selling probably was the 6600 in nokia and t610 in SE but i dont think they were made in 2004

Guys

The most people's is talking about Memory slot, hmm funny is that

Why have the 6230 external memory support for what reason ??

To listen average MP3 and to look at poor video's on a tiny little screen ?? Is that why the 6230 is the best becouse it has useless memory slot??

I ask why people's are overeact about the useless memory slot ??

Draak1, i agree with u completely. there are so many drawbacks of the 6230. the screen is terribly insipid. so too is its size. and it does not play all video formats of real players. (only qcif encoded).
the k700 has been adjudged the best phone even by wired magazine and digit magazine here in india.

Yes at first the feature packed 6230 seemed like such a great phone but the screen size definitely lets it down significantly... what's the point of video/camera on such a minute screen?
