So in order to delete just one contact from my SIM, I have to install this program on to my phone?

No. Press 1# to go to sim contacts. Go to the number you want to delete and press c to delete that number.

Can get to the SIM and see the contacts but can only call - pressing "c" doesn't do anyting.

Sorry. It didn't work. There's another way. But that works on the T230. I can't say about the t610- but it should.

Here's what i do in my T230. Go to phonebook > advanced > call from sim> go to the required contact and delete it. This works for sure. But isn't there a way to delete all the contacts in the sim in one go?
