didn't expect them to sell so many phones.
profit is down but thats cause they invested a lot and maby got rid of some debt.
if they are so happy about the V800 sales then i wonder how much a non vodafone V800 would sell.
in the article they don't mention the P910i, maby sales of that device is abit down.

they can't know that. not all companies have shared there results yet. and mostly its another company that tells us how much market share each company has.
i think they'll remain 6th

They are in a good position undoubtedly.
They are by no means as large as the other companies in terms or market share but to be making high end handsets and also be selling them well puts them in an envious position.
I have read about the S700 being described as the flagship model for SE but I would say it was the V800, however, there are almost no rivals for these high-end handsets.
I would imagine that Siemens is now hoping to mirror the Sony Ericsson model by creating a joint venture with Sharp/NEC thus creating a rival for SE. It would be interesting to see how this plays out.
Although I don't think Siemens-Sharp sounds as good as SE

We wont know the exact market share until Gartner releases its figures from all the companiers. However with Samsung sales dropping in the 4Q and Siemens doing badly again, it is quite possible that SE may have gained some marketshare
Jan Wareby commented briefly on the topic, saying that he estimated the marketshare at just above 7%, and stated that 2005 would be the year for SE to grow significantly in market share. Something we all guessed with all the entry level and low end phones they are releasing!

According to the Gartner website, SE rose to 3rd place in Q204
Doesn't say where they are at the moment.
