Anyone got contacts with SonyEricsson

, I see the whole green LED idea as a future Firmware revision. It would be great to have it flash differently under different circumstances, i.e. new SMS/voicemail. Goddamn the SMS ring is quiet! Oh another idea - selectable message alert - ain't that supposed to be in the next revision, and when's it due?

I dont think so. What I can remember from my elektronic lessons is that the ligth color change depening on the input voltage. A led is a diode with a pn junction it will do nothing if you apply + and - the other way arround. There are leds wich can have 5 or more colors too.
That brings me to another thing I'm thinking of since a long time. Why the hell cant they put those leds for use as backlights ? Most phones use leds as backligth for lcd and keypad. It seems very easy to add a menu in the phone where you can choose your backligth color

The LED you mentioned is the Normal LED. It emits light when you got the polarity right and a 3V power source but the red LED emits an orange light when you use a poewr source higher than 3V. If you use even higher voltages it will turn yellow and finally blow (dims off and dies)!
The LED used in ericsson phones is a special bi-colour LED not the normal LED you mentioned.
If you put it that way then it's a tri-colour LED!

Actually, it helps when you can't sleep and want to call someone or have a quick game.
...and there was once when my sister came in and thought there was a firefly in my room

There is no clear description for green and red LEDs in T68 Manual. I thought it was for GSM signal indicatation, and FINALLY I found maybe it just for battery???I'm using R2D of T68.
Following are what I discovered, I went to a theater one night and some body told me that the GSM signal are masked inside theater. I checked my phone and found the green LED blinking normally but when I saw the LCD, NO SIGNAL. So, the green LED is for nothing!!! #$^%^&&.
For two color LED/two LED quarrel, I think it should be two leds in one pack, and have one common and two positive pin for red and green. Actually you can get THREE colors, red, green, and yellow? (both on)

My old T28's green light blinked every second when I had cellular service and didn't blink at all when I was in a no service zone. So I assumed that the light came on when service was avaliable. Haven't tried my new T68 simply because I haven't had a chance to go anywhere where there wasn't any service

hehe GO VSTREAM!:)
