I have more than enough memory (tried it everytime with more that 20mb open)

Branded? (soz, i'm sn00b with cellphones)
Its a k700i if that is what branded refers to

I am using 'Hanset Manager' with the MA-Cable, maybe this?

It says the same to my themes(more than 250kb then its the same error/"maximum memory : 250kb")

branded means having your network provider's firmware loaded on the phone, like vodaphone has their own branded k700 with vodaphone startup and shutdown screens (i think) and the menu icons are different for branded phones, and some features are even disabled, like voda doesnt allow you to play normal mp3's on the phone

Which network are u on ?

Branded means did you buy your phone on contract from some operator...these guys use their personalised software versions which sometimes have certain limitations. Couldnt check the 3gp limit coz dont have any file above 2mb however i do themes above 250kb on my phone(268 n 311kb) so it isnt a k700 issue. It could also be due to the file transfer software you are using.

http://k700.hitziger.net

or FMA -

http://fma.sourceforge.net

and see if it works

Like others have said - there are no limititations in the phone itself other than available memory. You can put any sized video on the phone as long as there is enough free memory, unless the networkoperator has put some limitation on it if its a branded phone - Ive never heard of this kind of limitation from any networkoperator though. Most likely its the software you use to tranfer to the phone that has this limit for some strange reason.

Others have recommended dataimanager instead and thats just fine - dateimanager works good.

I would reccomend though instead of using cable and transfersoftware - that you get an usb bluetooth adaptor. Transferspeed are faster than using cable and there are no limitations in size and you wont need any transfersoftware or anything. Bluetooth makes it all much more simpler - and gives you alot more possibilities with your phone. You dont need to start any transfersoftware but simply rightclick any file supported by K700 and select send to phone directly from the windows filemanager. And its just as easy when you want to send pictures from your phone to the computer - you can either select send on the phone or you can browse the filestructure on the phone through windows and copy files back and forth.

thx for the replies and links

Gonna d/l and test the software now.

Wish I had money for the bluetooth adapter.. using my dad's bluetooth ear piece atm (Does nokia earpieces work with SE earpieces? will figure this out on my own if it does) and a R300 cable from New World.

@All -> First I want to say thx for the help and replies, all is working well now

MA-700(think thats the cable I use)

I recommend you put something like this on the faq's :

Q : "Why does this software of "MA-700"(Handset Manager) suck so much and why does FMA RaWK so much?"
A : "It just does!"

Just a bunch of comments on a piece of software if your interested :

Problems I had with Handset Manager ->

1) Main problem -> data restriction -> Restricts video filesize to 2mb, gif file size to 250kb, etc.

2) The connection to the phone takes a long while, had to remove the cable and insert it over and over again(FMA is uber kewl!)

3) It doesn't have all the cool functions FMA has, maybe there is an update that wil bode well for HM which I did not look for. Gonna use FMA anyways.

4) Don't know if FMA has this function, but HM didn't(maybe an update gives it, dunno).. Browsing the web with your cellphone through your own adsl/isdn/diginet/etc.

Problem I had with USB-Driver Cd ->

1) I don't have a CD-Rom, so I had to ISO the CD, to copy and to install.. Installing USB-Drivers from ISO does not work! (Didn't for me even, had to borrow my brothers CD-Rom for the install.)

Otherwise it works fine/worked fine for me.
