I am startin to think it could b the 512mb ms duo pro card i got in it thats causin the problems coz none of ma collegues have had problems.

I hear Nomex is a fine material, just what you need. Maybe you have annoyed those pixies in some way? Maybe they did not approve of the content that your phone was storing?
On a serious note, have you tried upgrading to R1J? maybe you could test your "problem" with that version?

I had the same problem with two of my V800's - I'm now on my third. I'd just be looking up a fone number, or putting in some details, and... 'pop' - the phone would go off and then reboot. I kicked up a stink and got another and that did the same, and I sent that back and this one doesn't seem to do it (fingers crossed) although it does crackle through the earphone (not headphone or bluetooth earpiece) when its ringing, although this disappears when they answer. Very annoying, but I like the phone so I'm putting up with it!
