Ummm..If it was a JPEG file..Then..When it gets reduced..It's reduced by the whole scale..I think you should turn it into a MAP file, then it would work. How to turn it? I'm not sure, but I've done it with my Paris Map a while ago...

I once took a picture of a city map (large disply in subway) with the K700. It was fairly readeable. If you could thake two or three you could get some types of map in the phone.

Also the idea of dividing the map in different jpg-s might be less 'funny' as it seems. When in viewing mode you can easimly swicth from one picture to another withe the joystick. 'Cutting' A jpg in different pieces shouldn't be all that work with nowadays picture editing software. It will depend on the map itself.

This is really PDA territory! There is only one image viewer available for the K700i that I know of and it is a Java App that can display JPEG's. The catch is that the JPEG's must reside inside the Java app, as access to file system is not possible in SE Java world!!!!!

Not sure if the app scales the image or not. If you cannot find it I will e-mail it to you when I get home.

okay...i found this tool called XView...but its a demo and includes a default image for using...its an app that u can apply 1x/2x/4x zoom to a pic and move it anyway u want with the joystik....if anyone know how to change the demo version pic that comes inside for another one it would be great...the app is on this url: http://www.jshape.com/frame.jsp .....on the top menu "mobile solutions"
