I was this version i was talking about. And nobody understood. The persons that work at

can have it to test it out before we get it. So that it will be a stabile good software for us.

They can make changes to the hardware. Remember that there is also a hardware revision due for release with the the new MMS software.
Hardware revision should clear up the soft sticky button situation and a few other build quality issues.

I got my phone upgraded to the new MMS software. It's R1A not to be confused with the release R1A that never got shipped for the T68.
This software is near production, and is jamming. New icons, better battery stand-by time status reporting, screensaver, MMS (of course), picture phonebook, Battleships (a new game, and definately the best ever made for a cell-phone), possibility to store loads of pictures (I have about 70), new music composer (where you also can add special effects; turning leds on/off, backlight on/off buzzer on/off, set volume etc), possibility to save more than 1400s of speech notes, themes (you cannot make new themes on this software, but for the next release you can. You can still send the themes to another T68 with the same software), post-it notes, SyncML, possibility to transfer actual music clips for MMS(low quality 8khz) and the transfer goes two ways(phonePC).
This is what I've found so far, after using it for one day.
This excellent phone, just got better.
It rocks!!!
Also, latest I heard of a release for this software was March. And no, you cannot get hold of this release before that (at least I cannot help you).
Sounds realy cool
so how did you get it?
R2A-3rd release(January) (hardware R3B (was: R1B)IMEI: 350324-61-(was: 350324-71-
Label(Box+Sticker on the back of phone)Sony Ericsson(was: Ericsson)
Made in Sweden(was:Malaysia)
- better voice quality both sending und receiving
- the mic isn't as (over-)sensitive as before
- Wap (GRPS + eMail) much, much faster
- Games, esp. Game are much more colorful and sport better graphics
- improvements with the building quality of the phone; no more issues with the keys
- It displays the specific phone symbols next to the last dialled phone numbers (Private, business etc.), also with the missed numbers
- T9, Menu + Phonebook faster
- No limits in characters with the Email
- Contrast of the display better,Crispier
- key-lighting improved, especially last row of keys now cleary readable
- Standbytime shorter??? Battery from the "old" ones showed 300h the "new" one only 180h ???
R2B - Future release - March 2002 ??
Possible improvements - Full MMS (Multimedia Message Service) support, picture phonebook, notes, SMS chat, ability to change colour of standby texts, screensaver options, themes editor

I see there are some questions about my post. I'll try and explain.
I don't work for

, but I do test phones at work.
The release is still for internal use only, or beta if you wish.
It is not complete, but after playing with the new software for a couple of days, it's pretty clear that

are soon done. Some bugs still to fix.
I use it on a store bought phone, but we have trial phones as well, and they're the same hw revision.
This phone simply kicks butt!:D

You bet! I hadn't thought muh of it, but I tried it just now, and by typing messages, I could not get it to go slow on me. Also, I tried just pressing random buttons, still no T9 hick-ups.
Still the menus piss me off. Too slow.
Cheers!
