I'm not sure that I was understood properly...lets try this again...

When you normally insert your MS duo into the slot, you push it down, there's a click, and the stick stays in the slot.

When I do that, I push down, i hear the click, but the stick comes back out, it doesn stay in place....

Anyone else got suggestions?

If somebody finds a solution let me know because lately my msd keeps poppin' out when I try to insert it. Only after trying several times and with a lot of pressure it stays in the slot.

i'm affraid that sometime soon the msd won't stay in anymore..

There's a mechanism inside the memory stick slot which is used to tell the phone when a memory card is in the slot, and then the phone begins to read it.

If this catch has stopped working properly, then it will not retain the memory card in the slot, and it will not be telling the phone that the memory card is there. If this mechanism completely fails, then your phone will no longer be able to detect a memory card.

I suggest you take it to your nearest SE service center in canada and pay the fee to have it looked at. They may replace the metal memory card container on the mainboard.

Hope this helps,

Well, turns out the mechanism is not 100% defective...I held the MS Duo down in the slot and was able access its content on the P800...I have having to cover the slot with some sort of tape...any other suggestions to keep the stick down there?

Jus do what I did, keep the stylus in the side and use a spare stylus.

You can try applying different angles of pressure on it when you insert it. Place you finger in the middle, right. Push slightly up/down. Otherwise I would say it is worn out. Did you use it often?
