I think o2 does not know about this proxy. It is a trick to get free access. This message was posted from a K500

I'm not sure if this will work , but you could try the following:

In messages, select edit, then messaging accounts.

Account name: (your ISP)
Your name: (your user name)
E-mail address: (user name @ ISP)
Connection type: POP3
Internet account: Preferred

Then select inbox:

User name:
Password:
Incoming server address: pop3.(your ISP)

Then select outbox:

Outgoing server address: smtp.(your ISP)
Tick the Use SMTP Authentication box

Go back to the message front page, select edit and Internet account

Account Name: Your ISP
Connection type: (Dial-up or GPRS)
User name:
Password:
Phone number:

Then, under advanced, tick the boxes for Get IP and Get DNS automatically. Under script, tick the box for plain text authentication.

Here are my e-mail account settings that work for me on my service provider as a pop3 account:

Basic:
Account name: Name it what you want. that is what will show up in your message screen.
Your name: Name it what you want.
E-mail address: xxx@yyy.com
Connection type: POP3
Internet account: Preferred (see also Wap accont setup)

Under Inbox:
User name: xxx (from basic e-mail address)
Password: ******** (You choose)
Incoming mail server address:
mail.yyy.com
download: Just headers

Under Outbox:
Outgoing server address:
smtp.yyy.com
Use SMTP authentication: check
Use inbox login details: check

Under advanced:
secure connection: uncheck
outgoing mail port: ?
Use MIME encoding: uncheck
Incoming mail port: ?
Secure password authentication: uncheck (depends if your server/provider supports it or not)
