Your phone crashed, and in order to turn it off hold down the power button for 10 seconds.

Its like when your computer freezes and you hold the off button for 5 seconds.

its telling you to do what amounts to a soft reset. i had it happen a few times. it can take longer than a 10 second count to reset though. sometimes i got bored and just pulled the battery.
