has anyone with a spare set of headphones tried to see that if the cut of the headphones, and just had a short length of wire, whether the radio still works or not?
It would be good if it did...

You'll end up with bad reception.
Try rolling up the headset and putting it in your pocket, reception will probably stink. (Keep it plugged in the phone and the phone out of your pocket ofcourse
)

Time to settle this one,i just plugged in an old headset from my t68i that i once had,put radio on,then put on speaker,then i took a pair of scissors to the wire and cut it off completely,result? signal went altogether.
