Then why does my manual state Memory Stick Duo Pro upto 1GB ??? Also all the P910i ads state external mempry upto 1GB ??

It wont support it....it was the same issue with the P900 not supporting anything higher than 128mb cause that is what it said in the white paper

It should support it. The standard is good for up to 32Gb and the only reason for the stated limit is that 1Gb was the highest capacity likely to be available in the near future when the phone was launched.

It's different to the P800/P900 only being able to take up to 128Mb, which is due to the fact that Memory Stick Duos are only made up to 128Mb and then they are all Pro Duo, which the P800 & P900 do not support.

But how much will they be

potentially a firmware update can sort it out as its proved to only be a software problem. like the p905's can accept 1GB by updating the software. guess we have to wait and see if SE actually create such a firmware update and if not they might planning in secret the p1000 or whatever it will be called, since a similar situation was the case when the p910 recently came out
