Alot of schools/colleges (ones with 'good' networks anyways) its not possible to use ANY (even the web based ones). This is because your not actually on the internet, your viewing a cached version of webpages etc.

This makes the internet quite passive but means nothing can make direct connections out - apart from allready specified things.

See if your web proxy is Navaho (alot of UK schools are moving to that now).

I tried jabber but couldnt log on any time. How does it work. QSM or MercuryIM none worked on my F500i...... Can anyone tell me how they work?
