Ah-huh.....sounds awfully familiar...

Here's my story....

Installed app. Didnt like it so much (or decided I didnt have much use for it). The app worked fine except it changed the way my original font looked like that I decided to uninstall. It uninstalled fine but kept the less than pleasing font so I decided to do a restart. there goes, or rather - there it went! It wont boot past the SE screen.

Fine, took of batt and reinserted.....no dice.
Did the jogdial, asterisk sequence..... no dice.

Yet the green led would blink as normal. I decided to give it a "jump start" by using someone else's phone to call my number. It would ring on the other end but my P910 lay quietly in a coma.

Just before the SE screen would appear, a message saying "Information Not Found" would pop-up and despite having a "Continue" button, clicking on it di nothing.

I went home, joping against hope, mounted it on the snycstation but as the syncstation yelled "anybody there", no P910 answered to make a connection.

Did all sorts of things like took off sim so the phone will read no sim then do the jogdial sequence to no avail.

In the midst of all these, I'd go through threads and it all pointed out to one ting - take it to the SESC.

The last I tried was plugging in the charger and it would show me new screens and a different reaction (nothing abnormal, I'd say) but none of these screens got me passed the SE screen.

So, after 2 nights of figuring things out by myself, I decided to ship it back to my home country for taking to the SESC. In a couple more days, life will be back to normal.

In the midst of all these (P910 was merely 2 weeks old), strangely enough, I wasn't at all dissapointed or dismayed. Nor am I bitter about the app source. That's just how it is - play around with gadgets, things like these happen. I'm obviously optimistic all my P910 needs is a software flashing (as read on thread). More than anything else, its the feeling of "some things are simply beyond us that we can't fix" that was bothersome.

Anyhow, for Foooon, I suggest look up the nearest SESC in your location and save some time, nothing wont work until you send it over.

Good luck.

That is why I do not install everything that comes to mind on my phone. Only Opera and Handy Dates are on there and I keep at least 8MB mem free.
