this is a question I have never seen answered. both are supplied in K700 and as you say are both same mAh. Its also interesting that the BST-35 still doesn't get a mention on the SE support site whereas the BST-30 has been there since the K700 was available

extra mAh just gives longer life and won't cause a problem. remember that some P900 came with 1000mAh and some with 1260mAh batteries and you can buy either as replacement batteries

Hmmm.... So i may get a K700 battery for my T230! Should last longer on this phone. This one lasts for about 5 hours due to my heavy wap usage! But there wont be much difference i guess.
