I don't trust ebay at all, certainly not for expensive stuff.
U can't even necessarily rely on their feedback now as peoples profiles are often highjacked by scammers.
I feel MUCH safer buyin on Esato.......at least u know u can trust the feedback

Some of my mates pretty much live on ebay (homepage set to it, got no life !!)
Just have to read things thoroughly, pay pall seems pretty safe and make sure you check out the seller ratings and reviews.
If your not sure, don't buy it would be my philosophy

No, there are scam artists but just take your time, don't rush in and take care with any auction. A few things to bear in mind:
Always check the feedback, not just the numbers but see what the person has been selling, if buying a mobile phone make sure the seller has been selling these before. In extreme cases I've seen people who have builtup feedback by buying cheap items and then suddenly start selling expensive items, it's likely to be a con
Read the auction carefully, may sellers put their item in as being located in the UK when they are actually selling from the US or Hong Kong, this can mean long delivery times and vat when it comes into this country. Also, watch out for someone who only takes Western Union or bank transfer, although these are legimate payment methods if the seller is only accepting one of these, there's a good chance it's a scam.
Most importantly, if it's too good to be true, it probably is - I would always recommend erring on the side of caution.
