Congrats on your purchase mate
Make sure you get the firmware upgraded if a new one is available coz new k7s(unbranded and sim free) come with crappy r2aa firmware.

First of all thats not the only difference, however lets see wat all would change even if this were the 'only" difference:
1)videos: most of the videos you'll find for download will be 176*144 so on a nokia you would be squeezing them into a lower res smaller with a significant quality loss
2)camera: the k7 screen has 2.36 times more pixels so i guess i dont even need to elaborate my point here
3)games: you'll still be playin the old n poor graphics s40 java games while k7 can play s60 java games.
4)mp3 player: 6230 displays just 5 letters in the name of the song while k7 displays full artist n song name
5)wap: displays much more info at the same time so considerably less scrollin
6)general usage: large screen aids in general day to day usage of the phone+the screen its a nice feelin to look at the beautiful k7 tft+you're payin the same price(n quite a bit too) yet your phone will look so last century with a small screen.
See how the only difference has affected every single function of the phone n btw there are heaps of other advantages of the k7 over 6230 like better camera, def not the dreadful s40 software which crashes ever so frequently, better n louder sound as well, better ui, themes, support for any kind of files in others folder etc etc.....

Yup edge is good but hardly manages to tilt the scales in its favour. As for its mmc support thats a gimmick...the phone doesnt need it, after all its video playback coz of display n mp3 playback is average(and as my mate recently found out that it takes quite a lot of time for media player to load all mp3s when you have many) so instead of investin on an mmc if mp3s are a concern buy a player

6230 is a boosted s40. In its heart it still is Crappy. This phone is just a gimmick. It will be wonderful if it were a symbian. The Whiz i respect your emotions with the s60, but if you are gonna push s40, that is where it ends. ;-)
