dialing through your isp you may need the isp's smtp address to send mail - thats if your receiving mail but cant send.

i use Genie payasugo and have no problems using Yahoo's pop & smtp settings via the 915000 number to send & receive - but i do have to use the IP addreses and not the mail server name.

note: to get any IP addreses just go to a dos window and type 'ping servername' - hit return.

Hmmm i just thought, do u have the right port numbers? I use 110 for incoming and 25 for out going. This post was posted from a T65

Figure this out. I set up a 'hotpop' account last night, and it worked straight away, dialing via the same BTOpenwold number I was trying to use for the Talk21 account!!
What is different about Talk21 to hotpop that makes one work, and the other not?
