Its not SE's DCU-11 cable. Did u get the CD along with the cable ? there must be an installable(*.exe) file in the root directory(usually). Usually that installs the drivers automatically.

Edit - I got a reply from the person, nd this is what he said, so if i can understand them, i am going to follow the instructions. I'll update you all later.

What I suggest is that you uninstall the USB Driver from your PC. Then plug in the USB Cable, when prompted by windows, with the software CD in your CD Rom Drive, run the add new hardware wizard, select automatically detect driver.

You may have to run this wizard a couple of times, until windows prompts that the hardware is installed and working properly.

Next, find which port your USB Data Cable is being found on by your PC, you need to go to your device manager.

To do this go to -- control panel (switch to classic view) -- System -- Hardware -- Device Manager -- Ports (COM & LPT).

The cables connection will be displayed by windows as a name followed by the wording COM, then a number for example PROFLIC 4 - COM 2. The COM information is what you need, however this may differ depending on the kit you purchased.

Please make sure that you have the cable plugged in to the USB Port on your PC, otherwise Windows will not pick up the connection and display connection information. Once you have this information, set up the software to pick up the cable on the displayed com port.

if you have installed it, check the whether the USB port shows up in Hardware device manager in your system under COM ports.

Also try using DateiManager instead of SE PC suite, like i suggested

If you can uninstall the prior driver installation, I suggest that you that first.
