Mine experienced the same problem-no charging sometimes, especially when the phone is turned off. Mine is R2L001-and I don't know why? I don't give a damn actually-because it only occured sometimes. Yes,once in a while.

Argh Annoying O2, They've withdrawn the offer of the replacement with this email:
From the information that you have provided, it would seem that you have a phone fault. Could you please take your phone to your local O2 store where our engineers can check it over and try to repair it. If your phone needs to be sent away, they may be able to arrange for a loan phone for you. Unfortunately, we would not be able to offer a free replacement phone to you as it is a minor fault.
>
>Any faults that are not reported to O2 within the 14-day trial period, or within the 28-day exchange period, can now be repaired by simply visiting one of your local O2 stores. This does not include wear and tear, physical or accidental damage.
My Reply that i'm about to send:
A minor fault? The phone wont charge! i cant use it! Does that sound minor? after all the point of a mobile phone is for the ability to make a call. Anything that hinders that i'd presume a Major fault. Is it not possible for you to provide a replacement with the same features?
Think I should add anythign else?

@ lpt100
In the nicest possible way, I think you've approached this the wrong way. This problem can be rectified very easily. Don't even bother going to an O2 shop, because let's face it, they're useless. Call Sony Ericsson and find out where your nearest service centre is. Take it there, and they'll repair it (or replace it if it cannot be repaired) free of charge under warranty. That's what warranty is for. Problem sorted.

@lpt100 - What a very DETAILED report mate

! Yup, I guess your very last recourse as I have posted a while back is to bring the fone to your nearest

Sevice Center pal, though I think, if ever there will be some charges it will be to your account - warranty lapsed

Good Luck ! The replacement offer for a Nokia 6230 would have been so nice . . .

!
