firstly k700i is a phone secondly a camera thirdly radio and lastly a mp3 player so if u say 41 mb is less mem for other things apart from mp3's then i dont know what to say and if u wanted mem for mp3 u cud have very well got an ipod or iriver in the same price so i think its ok for k700i to have a mem of 41 mb... more wud definately wud have been better...

There cannot coz java apps are not allowed to access phone memory so even if a media player was made, it wont have any files to play.

Thats not entirely true. You can have media files embedded within the jar file and you can play them but the RAM that the k700 has is too small to load the entire file for playing it.

Any J2ME programmers around who know how to stream the video from within the jar file itself ? Please PM me. i always get an error - "this application uses too much memory"

Yup i had thought of that and i wouldnt call it a media player but a media file coz it'll only play the file(s) which you embed in the app, only an app that has access to phone memory can function as a media player n thats not possible in java apps.
