@decoy7: I saw it with my own eyes (the sw on the server, but not the sw in action). There is a screenshot of it somewhere in the news-forum of t68m.info. Must be an older topic. Someone posted the screenshot there to prove that the m to i conversion arrived that day on EMMA2. When I will have access to my computer I will look for that post. But as I said I saw it with my eyes at the service point in Winterthur, Switzerland about six weeks ago, believe me!

Zaji-D,
report back when you've seen the software work....anything else is just speculation and typical esato bo**ocks mate, a waste of time.

truth is software upgrades dont cure all problems with the phone.
i've used the 1st version of software on the T68 for months without any issues and my second phone had the 3rd version on it....both phones functioned fine with hanging issues occuring on both indiscriminately, if you get your phone changed for a new one you really must be unlucky to go through more errors with the replacement handset.
any error you get on these phones people are quick to say get an upgrade...there are issues with the phone period, even if you flash the phone with the same software version this can cure problems in the same way upgrading to latest software can...its all bo**ocks, no one knows what their talkn about and if you get a phone with no issues its just down to luck of the draw not software version.

@decoy7: I guess you are familiar with the fact that the t68 reboots from pressing the on button for 10 secs even with keylock on? I mistook that for a bug for a while until reports about that started to flood esato.

Decoy7>WHAT?. The underlying prob here is that fones be it software or whatever, are doin alot of things they werent designed to do.be it for anyone to go out and spend anything from 150 quid up to have a top fone, and find it crashes more than it works is the big q here.yes there are a few jumped up anoraks here that think they know all and dont, but i and many others here have had many probs with fones, and wont be played! If fones are this bad pre 3rd generation what will it be like when its \"live\"?

Gezz, get another phone.
I don’t have that kind of problems with my T68i, but it could also be your provider.

with the most recent t68i software the phoen runs much better. an old problem is still present, although only occurs from time to time:
the phone is certainly close to a gsm antenna, signal level is 5 but on the display: sos calls only
restart the phone helps in most cases
sometimes a restart ends up in: no access
then, i had to restart at least 3 times until booking in again.
