I'm not a fan of any brand. But this is one thing that really bugs me, an other is the limited contact list.
Saving the sms:s to the sim, makes the phone sooo slooow....

@nippit re: new sms while reading sms messages
it's not a bug! it is simply how SE does things. a bug is something that is wrong or causes errors in the system.
in this case, SE designers assumes that you dont want to be disturbed while reading/composing messages that's why you dont get alerts about incoming SMS, but the new message(s) are in your inbox and you will be alerted as soon as you're done reading/composing your sms.

GOwin Ok if you say so that i can agree BUT...
Then there is something missing there should be a timer to exit from reading sms screen.
If you look at it from your point of view it is not a bug. If you want to define the bug technically, it is the behavior of the application in any other way than intended. Now this is the argue point the programmers intention does not always match the users intention. Just name another brand of mobile that does not inform you about incoming messages at same situation.
And if this is the case of no disturb why it is ringing when a call comes in at the same point or why does it alert of sms while you are talking on the phone?
So according to software designers it is so important to read sms and not so important when you are on the phone talking?
What do you think?
To be honest my main problem is when you wake up in the night to read the sms you just left the t68 as is after reading the message if you do not bother to reply. When i wake up in the morning then i have 10 s of messages suddenly? You are right it does not disturb me....

On a Motorola V66 if you type a message and an incoming call is taken, you lose all you have typed. That's a bug. Most of the T68i stuff mentioned are just user interface features that are deliberately programmed into the firmware.
Keeping your NO button depressed even while the keypad is locked will turn your phone off. It's not unique, it happens to all T68i phones!
As for losing all your phone stored SMS messages when you change SIMs, that's just for protection of your data. If your phone is stolen, you disable the SIM through your operator - you then don't want the new 'owner' to view all your old personal messages and notes when they put in another SIM?

here's a real bug....
reply to a message in your inbox, select 'include this sms'. after the message is sent, go to another message in your inbox and reply to it, again, using 'include this sms'. notice that the message displayed was from the first message.

@nippit
correct, a time-out to close the an open message window would be a nice touch.
Even if i leave the message window open and my PC is one, i would still get the SMS (unless they got embedded objects) coz I use FMA with BT.

(I know it didnt directly resolve the question you posed.

)

But why have that implemented as a shut down, even in key lock mode? Almost as if the developer had no belief in the SW/HW, and thought it best to add this feature just in case it would hang.
It would be quite enough to have it shutting down by pressing NO, except when it's in key lock mode.
A bit like locking your front door, but just as a nice feature you can open the door without a key, by pressing the handle for a minute
I would believe the story about the sms:s, if it wasn't for the fact that the contacts and e-mails won't disappear when changing the sim.
Wouldn't the data stored in them be as valuable to protect the same way as your sms?
