Can't agree with that statement. My moto V500 used to run very quickly for a few weeks after a reflash, but gradually slowed down regardless of how much I filled up the memory. And I reflashed it quite a few times, with the same result every time.

with reduced performance i mean; it takes longer before the menu popsup, games don't load as fast as they used to, well the speed of menu's and options are slower when you compare it with a model out of the box. Even when you do a full reset.
If you say this problem does not exist why do i have many customers complaining about this issue; why have noticed this decrease of performance with these models? beats me .. it's just there

I'm not telling anyone that it's perfectly normal, I'm saying it's doesn't have a pc proccessor in it and as such 'for me' it isn't a problem to have a little lag when I know I have a lot of pictures in my phone !
As for the cache, I used to have to clear my nokia from time to time so again, not really an issue for me and in my experience certainly not just a problem for phones !
So by flashing your phone you now experience no problems at all ?

I have used many phones, and I am a software developer, and i have to disagree about the reduced performance.

The ONLY phones which MAY reduce performance over time is ANY symbian phone (memory fragmentation, less memory available, more processes).

Of the non-symbian phones, the only normal phone i have seen that had reduced performance is the Seimens SL45 (which used a MMC to store various stuff, and a "defragment" on that solved the speed issues most of the time)

As for soney ericssons, it is possible that a slight descrease may happen over time (because of memory fragmentation). But because of the internal design, this woudl not be notricable unles the phone is consistantly operating at "nearly full". and even still it is measurable only in microseconds (not visible to the eye).

So once again, i would like you to proove this. Maybe your customers are using this excuse a lot just to take advatange of your "warranty" and get a new phone?

This must be specific for your particular batches and is not a common problem. I have never experienced or met anybody else with the problem you describe.

The very absence of threads describing the behaviour you describe is proof enough its not a common problem (I believe you would have seen a lot of threads about it on various forums otherwise).

It is true that, on the PXXX phones, if you open lots of programs fast, it takes longer to change between tasks: But that is because it is doing lots of things at the same time, it does not happen just because you keep it on for a while.

I never turn a phone off, unless I have to get on board a plane, and this problem just does not happen.
