You might be using a wap over GPRS account to access your POP3 server. You'll need a full internet over GPRS account to make it work.

No. It will only show "Connecting" or in some cases, "Finding Server".

Why would it show "Access denied" when your service provider is allowing you the use of the service (wap over GPRS). The only problem is that the service being provided is inadequate. The data just won't go through.

@chetanthaker,

I think CrackerJack is on the right path depending on your provider. I use T-Mobile in the US and you need to have the full internet plan with VPN access to get your e-mails.

Also the default conections on my T610 did not have the VPN connection profile and I had to have it sent from SE's website.

So the only way to figure that out is by calling my provider right ??

I cant see an "INDIA" option on SE website under the SUPPORT > EMAIL section

DAMN !

Sorry about your predicament. If accessing your POP3 mail server is that important to you, maybe you could try talking to other service providers and see who can offer you access to an 'internet APN' and maybe transfer your business to that telephone company.

Hey crakerJack

Thanx for advising me to choose another operator

But the thing is that I just wnated to have my options open since I have a Email facility on my fone so why not use it ?

I usually send stuff to emails via MMS (MMS is free here -- Just a nominal charge of Rs 100 (i.e USD $2 per month... UNLIMITED WAP and MMS)

WOW ! In France, MMS are not free (you have about 33 per motn included in a sort of combo), and to surf WAP the way you want, that is unlimited, you have to pay 6 Euros ! India is much better than Europe then !
