Looks like your t68 hasnt been upgraded to t68i yet as with the i version you have a picture album which is memory dependent and you could delete the pre-installed pictures :-) whats your firmware version?

By deleting the default pictures in T68i you just disable them and you don't see them but they are still there occupying the space in the memory! You don't free up memory by deleting them! That is why they come back when you master reset your phone! So you might as well leave them there!
