Have you tried the recover option in
update service, or just a firmware upgrade in general? That does not require the phone to be powered on.

Try the following thing:
When the menu appears, where you have to enter your pin, try this:
Jog dial up
Press *
Jog dial down
Jog dial down
Press *
Jog dial down
Press *
Then the Secret menu has to appear. Choose service functions and then format your internal drive
Restart, and perhaps the problem is solved

@ether..what apps are installed on your c/e drive?if the jog * routine fails(int format)..give me a pm.internal drive clean is essential by the looks of things...but if nothing is visible 'screenwise',your probably pissin in the wind.

What did you do in SMan? If you just installed it, it can't do anything. If you played with the settings, what settings did you do? It helps if you posted in the SMan v1.3 thread so that this would be brought to my attention earlier and we could investigate.

this is what i did as far as i can remember
i installed my flip again
sman .sis was on my duo
tapped it
installed it
opened it
looked through
the drop down menus
looked at all the features saw what the program could do didn't really do anything with any of them just saw what they are
and what they could do
opened the bluejack feature(great fun i help my friend run his convinience store on the weekend lots of victims
he thought it was very funny)
ran scans on for about an hour
turned it off to show friend what a sim card was
then nothing
locked up
other than sman i also have installed
e doom
locked and loaded
smartmovie
2 syrergix 3d games
legacy
p800 star
gaya
qfile manager
these were all on the phone long before
i got sman with no problems
about a day before sman i did get a cone 14 error
this is about as detailed as i get with out my phone itself
i did not know there was a sman forum or i would have put this
there ajack your the man please help me if you can or i'll have to it back to sony

Jog dial up and down means move the jogdial 1 click

haven't tried with no sim but can't do jog dial freeze befor the os loads so the power button is the only thing that works i work in radio and i'm in the studio and can't bring in my phone but i will try this asap
