to be honest i think its a great idea...but the only problem i see is that bluetooth is to slow. To access a song on the memory device, you would take between 3-5 minutes...

But this same idea applied to WiFi would really be excellent, just make a memory device (pen drive kind of thing) with WiFi, a LED to show its status (connected or not) and a switch/button to allow access to the memory. Obviously this would be have to be done with a rechargable battery, so it would be a bit bigger than a pendrive, but there are still loads of phones/pdas that dont have memory expansion options (YES I KNOW MOST PHONES DONT HAVE WIFI, BUT IM TALKING ABOUT IN A NEAR FUTURE!!) , and im sure that as a matter of convenience, it would be easier to put WiFi in a phone, that a memory slot, seeing as WiFi on a short term basis is going to substitute bluetooth.

well there is a JET Flash portable USB Pen-Drive with Wi-Fi LAN made by Trascend USA...I just bought a Pen drive so was viewing the catalouge...It seems that if Wi-Fi comes on phones apart from O2 XDA's and Krome or Hell Yeah! Samsung..The idea might work..But I guessEGO..you should patent the idea , it quite cheap to do so...Maybe you might want to gift us all a new phone s for a lifetime once you become the billionare...!
