You can get a P900 (as someone said, almost the same thing) or a P910/P910i from eBay... Then sell it afterwards when the P1000 is arriving. You won't lose much as long as you get a reasonably cheap one from eBay then with the right listing sell higher..
That way you don't really lose out! Especially as it will be a while until the P1000 is released.

Buddy don't wait for something not even on the drawing board ! Some of the SE fans speculate for almost a year about the P1000. SE only released a 'supped up' version of the 900 and name it accordingly (910) For the past 6 moths SE has stopped any further development of the P-series and have moved on to a smaller more S60 like screen format which can accomodate a 'proper' cell keyboard. Even the arch rival 'nokia' have stopped the development of their 'screen input' cellphone. The pda's have to much of a strong hold to that market. Go ahead and get the P910i or if you want cutting edge, have a look at the brand new 6680. Greetings from South Africa. Mario

Thanks for all the info guys. Well, I went ahead and bought a P910i 2 days ago. Its just great. I can finally leave my Palm at home. Still messing around with it and looking for useful apps to install in it. Can you guys recommend some essentials? Thanks.

There will be a P930 in the next few month, and P1000 (3G) in the end of this year.
So I got rid of my P910i and got a 9500 until the next P9XX is released.

That's indeed right, there won't be a P915i. It's P930(i).
