I would return it but Its too much of a pain, mostly due to all the apps Ive purchased using the IMEI number and all the personalisation.

I agree with you on this one, returning it would be a bit of a hassle. Besides, I don't think wear and tear from general use, especially after a few months, is really a warranty issue.

I bought a HBH35 a while back and the main part of the casing was scratching against the rubber part where it clings on your ear. After a while, it started to wear away. I called up SE told them the problem, they told me to take it to a SE service centre, they saw the problem and swapped it for a brand new HBH600

People who had the flip taken off from day one won't have the same problem.

ive had mine for 2 months and it hasnt got a scratch on it anywhere. I dont use a case either. I cant see anyway that mine will mark in the places you say as the keypad stands away from the phone by quite a way. My flip is always being opened and closed as well so its not because I dont use it.
