Apparently some people want the latest stuff just for the fun of it, without having the slightest clue about what it is good for. Manufacturers will pretty surely make a profit from this attitude...

It is also worth noting that there are probably a disproportionate number of "early-adopters" on Esato, this being a mobile phone forum, so there are bound to be a number of people itching to get their hands on the latest technology without being fully aware of what it can do.
