However, I find it a pity that in this day & age she had to die due to the removal of food & water.

No-one expects a dog to die that way - they are put to sleep with no pain. Why can we not allow people to die with some dignity?

anyway, im glad too, i think this is the best decision. I still dont fully understand why they didnt put her to rest instead of letting her starve to death... I have asked reporters around, and the main reason was because it would be murder... but this seems to be murder too right? and also... they say she feels no pain... but they keep giving her morphiene... why? ya know?
but... RIP and im glad its over... (not in a mean way, but its a relief)

They couldn't help her die since any form of help is judged as murder in the courts.

Therefore the only way to "let someone go" is to deny treatment (all or part). This leads to the situation here.

As far as I know it's also possible to take doctors to court even if they have withheld treatment in certain circumstances.

Pity the court always has to be involved. Can people not just sort things out themselves? The world would be a lot better....
