SD Card can be used on Palm PDA, Pocket PC, digicams, MP3 players.
MMC also...

Yeah but MMC is slow, has no write protect tab, and mechanically less rigid than SDC, and the contacts are easy to contaminate unlike the recessed contacts of SDC
And I also got this mini card reader, turns your SDC/MMC into a USB flash drive!

But the card that sucks the most is the xD card used by Olympus/Fuji. Can't use it anywhere else but Oly/Fuji cams!

If you will hanging around with Sony products then you'll almost need MS. As general, i prefer SD above MS in term of value, size, form, and flexibility.

which is faster in data transferring, mmc or sd? btw, sd ports can read mmc, while mmc ports most likely cannot read sd..

Speed wise, SD is fastes, followed by MS PRO and at last place we have MMC.

Well going all-Sony really isn't that bad... I used to have a Sony Clie and a Sony Cybershot, the Memory Stick lets them exchange data.
But Sony killed the Clies so now I have to use lower-quality PalmOne devices...
