i have no idear about surround sound i just shoved them where theres a space
my pc is in the kitchen so mum aint to impressed with the speakers all over the place, scares the crap out of her when she is making dinner and she gets a loaud gunshot from doom3 in her ear

The speakers work fine, I've tried them on an MP3 player, I think it maybe a problem with the soundcard.
